So
glad to be posting here again for Tara Tyler, aka, VikLit’s Writing blog fest, Celebrate the Small Things. There’s
been too many big things going on that prevented me from posting or visiting many sites last week.
Anyway,
this week I’m so happy to celebrate:
- My “roommate” is gone! I’ve got my place and good spirits back.
- I won my first giveaway, a $5 amazon gift card from Cathrina Constantine! Thank you!
- Despite one day of pouring down rain this week, the weather’s back to beautiful!
- A friend from my writer’s group invited me to introduce my book, Anticipation of the Penitent, to her book club, and they voted to read my book! It might be a while before they have the discussion because of the upcoming holidays, but I sold 4 copies at the book club. :)
- Melissa Maygrove’s Follow Fest is a great experience. I’m still visiting many of the blogs on the list, have met some great bloggers and writers, including some other non-traditional Christian writers.
I'll be seeing you; got a lot of blog visiting to do this weekend!
That's wonderful the book club is reading your book.
ReplyDeleteYes, it is. Hope they all love it! (of course :))
DeleteHope the book club love your book! Enjoy the perfect silence of having your own space back. :)

I do too, Shah! And I am enjoying the peace.
DeleteIntroducing your book to a book club is such a wonderful opportunity to get your book into the hands of readers.
ReplyDeleteYes it is Rachna. I'm sure others will buy the eBook.
DeleteCongratulations on winning your first Amazon gift card and on selling the 4 copies! I'm sure the members of the book club will enjoy it ;)
ReplyDeleteAlso, wooohoo for having your place and good spirits back :D
Wooohoo indeed!
DeleteOh how fun that you're going to have a book read by a book club! That seems like one of those momentous, "I've arrived" experiences. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope it will be. I hope some of them do reviews too! I've learned that many people in book clubs aren't too keen on doing them. But it's still exciting anyway.
DeleteCongrats on regaining your space. Hope your friend is settled well into her new home. A book club read, that sounds exciting. Have a fun weekend.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure she'll be fine. God will bring her where she'll need to be.
DeleteGlad follow fest went well and you sold books. Congrats!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sheena-kay.
DeleteSounds like you had a great week, Nancy....
ReplyDeleteI won a gift card from Cathrina, too!
Have a great weekend.
We seem to often have similar celebrations!
DeleteI have so many good books to review, and am so behind. Good luck with your schedule, I know I need it for mine! LOL
ReplyDeleteBooks can tend to stock up!
DeleteWhat a nice list of small things to celebrate. They must feel like warm nuggets of joy in your soul. It's the small things that pitter patter our hearts.
ReplyDeleteThanks Demetria. It's good to hear from you!
DeleteHi Nancy! I'd like to thank you for your visit and kind, inspiring comments during the Blitz of my blog yesterday. It came at a really great time. I love my fellow bloggers and am so proud to be a member of the Blog Blitz Team! Again, thanks so much. Your words especially resonated with me. Lily.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad they did Lily! It can be hard to truly tell what's in your heart when you're going through difficult times, but I'm sure it's a blessing to some who hear your words. My prayers are with you.
DeleteThat book club thing, that's totally awesome. I think that would keep me grinning for weeks. Yay!
ReplyDeleteThanks for those words. Gotta stay positive for the positive things that happen!
DeleteI enjoy reading your Celebrations every week. I can feel your cheerfulness in the post, and it cheers me up too. Congrats for your uncrowded home and for the book club opportunity! :-)
ReplyDeleteCool, Lexa. I try not to sound too whiny! :)
Delete$5 is gold on Amazon (isn't that like 5 self-published novels?) -- way to go!
ReplyDeleteIt sure is Milo!
DeleteHi Nancy,
ReplyDeleteI do understand how you've been eagerly waiting for my latest comment. Relax, your wait is over! Yay! I reckon you had a most peaceful time with your "roommate" moving on. Well done on winning the gift card. And well done with the book club.
Did I see mention of a blogfest? One moment, please....Arrrggghhhh!!! Sorry, but I feel better! LOL
Sure did mention it G! BLOGFESTS are the bomb!
