Nancy LaRonda Johnson
Fiction or nonfiction?
Fiction!!! :) and some poetry
What genres do you write?
Christian speculative, which is
horror, sci-fi or fantasy, but written with a Christian angle or theology. I
prefer a touch of horror.
Are you published?
Yes. I have two books published, Anticipation of the Penitent ($2.99 eBook), about a
serial killer and his mother, and Salted With Fire ($0.99 eBook), a book of short stories and poetry with Biblical discussions.
Do you do anything in
addition to writing?
I’ve taken a life art
class before and loved it. Once I retire, I’d love to take more art classes,
along with photography, and learn to play the harmonica. Now, I love church, my family and traveling.

you’d like us to know?
I'm a woman of few and many words, a pseudo-insomniac who loves
to sleep in, whose favorite word in the English vocabulary is
"vacation," and whose favorite thing to consider is what God is
telling me right now.
I like reviewing books by indie writers, though I’m a slow
reader (love audiobooks), and assisting spreading the word for blogger friends
with their cover reveals, blog tours, etc.
Thanks to: Melissa Maygrove for putting together this great fest. I'm looking forward to checking out everyone's posts tomorrow and over the weekend!

ReplyDeleteThanks Sheena-kay! I know there's a lot up there. :) Work is busy and I'm tired when I get home, but I will surely get to everyone in this fest.
DeleteWill check that I am following you elsewhere.
ReplyDeleteThanks Alex! I'll definitely do the same. :)
DeleteThanks for taking part in Follow Fest! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for having it Melissa!

Thank you Michael!
DeleteVacation is a wonderful word :)
ReplyDeleteIsn't it? :)
DeleteHi Nancy!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with Follow Fest! I'm a little bit of an insomniac as well most days but use that to my advantage with my writing...;~)
I am host of WRITERLY WISDOM WEDNESDAYS on my blog where authors, agents, and illustrators provide guest posts on everything regarding the writing and publishing industry. Come by some time and join the fun!
Take care,
Donna L Martin
I'll look into it Donna. My work hours take their toll on me though, so I'm not sure if I can keep up another on-going blogfest.
DeleteI like the sound of your speculative fiction! Following you on Twitter, FB, Goodreads, and I "liked" your Amazon page.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Milo! Will do the same. :)
DeleteIt really nice to meet you and I look forward to getting to know you better. Photography is awesome. I am not all that skilled but I enjoy it nonetheless. :)
ReplyDeleteYes, I have my moments with photography. There's just so much to pick up and learn in this life!
DeleteHey Nancy, it's nice to meet you! I'm a big fan of 'vacation', too ;)
ReplyDeleteThere are just so many to be taken! If only I had the time. :)
DeleteSpeculative fiction with a twist. Sounds interesting. I'll be following you as soon as I get home.
ReplyDeleteThanks Chemist Ken! Looking forward to that. I'll be following you in a bit. :)
DeleteHi Nancy. I'm thrilled to meet another writer who writes Christian fiction of the darker variety. My debut is a Christian ghost story. :-)
ReplyDeleteVery cool. I'd say I think it's good to be in the up-field of a new market!
DeleteHorror AND Christian? Sounds awesome. :) Nice to meet you!
ReplyDeleteYou too!
DeleteYou write in a really unique genre! I think I follow you in quite a few of these places already, but I'll check.
ReplyDeleteThanks for coming by Sherry. I think we do follow each other about. Have added a couple.
DeleteHi Nancy, Good to meet you on Follow Fest! Your books sounds very interesting. I'm gonna have to check them out!
ReplyDeleteI hope you do and enjoy them Christine! It's great to meet you.
DeleteCongratulations on your books! Infusing Christian theology in your genre sounds like it takes your work to a deeper level. I'm interested in reading. Also, love that you post old journal entries. That is brave and fun! Makes me want to go back and read some of my journals.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the compliments Sara! I hope you do read, and if you're interested in grabbing a copy, give me a note.
DeleteIf you do go back over your old journals, be sure to expect some emotional rockabouts!
What fantastically unique genres! I love it!!!! And what intriguing titles. Fabulous!
ReplyDeleteGreat to meet you, Nancy!
Thanks for your enthusiasm. It's uplifting! :)
DeleteGlad to see all my speculative fiction writers out there!Following you every way we can!Hope we could talk working together in the future!
ReplyDeleteThanks Guinevere & Libertad. Would love to connect and work together! I do write Christian fiction, though not the traditional, and saw on your blog that that doesn't interest you. But I'd still be interested in connecting more.
DeleteI've always wanted to do art as well. I took a drawing class in college but was terrible at it! Now I paint (abstracts) sometimes, when the words won't come and I just need to get it out of me.
ReplyDeleteYes, we all need that extra creative outlet!
DeleteGood to meet you! The best of luck with all your writing efforts!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jennifer!
DeleteVacation. That's an interesting choice for a favorite word. I have no idea what mine would be...chocolate, maybe?
ReplyDeleteNice to re-meet you :)
:) I couldn't dare have chocolate as mine. Don't need the temptation.
DeleteYes, it's been a while!
Hello, Nancy, nice to see you again!!

ReplyDeleteLoved what you said about your favorite thing to consider. :-)
