Whoopee! This is it! I’m so excited that this blog tour went amazingly. All of you guys who hosted, commented and entered just blow me away! Thanks so much for your support.
On
this last day of the blog tour, go on over to Elise Fallson, a most wonderful
American chick who lives in France and is working on two manuscripts. Isn’t
that just crazy! I can’t even be into reading more than one book at a time, yet she's writing a YA and an NA book! Phew!!
Insecure Writer's Support Group
At the same time as the last day of my blog tour,
that is, the 1st Wednesday of the month, is the Insecure Writer’s
Support Group, an ingenious creation of Alex J. Cavanaugh.
I have to say that overshadowing any insecurities I
might have is my excitement of all that’s been going on: The tour; I’ve been
writing on my WIP; I’ve reread my first book, and am still in love with it; I’m
doing more interviews; and I’m reading Julie Flander’s book, Polar Nights, and
I’m looking forward to finishing and reviewing it.
The insecurities that are being overshadowed are: Will
all the money I’m shelling out to this publicist be worth it in the end? Will I
ever make more than I’m spending, or at least ever break even, with my books?
Will I be able to finish my WIP with the resolutions and ending that I don’t yet know, but am
craving? Will I ever get a husband? (Ooops, that slipped out. Wrong support
group!)
Well
fellow writers, I look forward to your support and providing what support I can
to you!
Sounds like you're too busy to have much room for doubt ;) Got get them, girl! I had to laugh at the husband thing. My little bro (whose pushing 30 hard, not THAT old)just got engaged a couple days ago, and he'd written himself off.
ReplyDelete*ahm* I meant 'go get them'. Oh, those typos!
DeleteIs that truly something to laugh at?? :) Good for your brother.
DeleteSo pleased the tour has gone well for you. I like the posivity you radiate, it can be infectious. All the best with the final day of the tour.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad it came across as positive. Most times I never know what image I'm putting out there. :)
DeleteCongrats your tour has done well and while we can't help you with a husband know that we support you on your beautiful writers journey.
ReplyDeleteAnd you've done that wonderfully!
DeleteI'm glad you've enjoyed your tour, and it's great that it's banished a lot of your insecurities and is making you feel positive. Good luck with your insecurities, I'm sure you'll make enough money :)
ReplyDeleteThink it into action can definitely happen!
DeleteYou did a beautiful job! A husband, hmm, my son needs a wife! :) Please don't tell him I said that!
ReplyDeleteIt is surprising the costs isn't it - hope you recoup it ten times over!
What a wonderful blessing. Thanks Yolanda! And may your son find the perfect mate.
DeleteNancy, looks like your book tour went well. The insecurities will always be there, we just have to ignore it.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I agree, especially when the same ones keep popping up. Thanks Rachna
DeleteWow-- so much to celebrate. Wipe your brow in relief and do a little happy dance. I, for one, am impressed.
ReplyDeleteThanks Julie. It is exciting. I'll do a little happy dance at church tonight. :)
DeleteYour tour was great. Saw you everywhere! Great job! Keep writing and it will start to support itself. Mine finally is.
ReplyDeletePolar Night was a great read. I really enjoyed it.
I will definitely keep writing, and working toward that. Thanks!
DeleteOh, man--those blog tours can be SO exhausting! I totally hear you! And I really hope the publicist decision pays off!
ReplyDeleteThanks Hart! It was great. Don't know about exhausting, but it will be great to get back to normal blogging. :)

Meredith’s Musings
Although I did dance at church, I forgot to do my *happy dance* for celebrating. I guess I've got to do it tomorrow, in public, in front of other people... Oh well, should be fun!
DeleteYes Meredith, will do!
ReplyDeleteHey Nancy,
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, can I please have bonus points for commenting at nearly four in the morning. Time zones!
I noted your tour over at Elise's lovely site. And indeed, I left a comment. Oh my, lingo time :) Have fun with your "WIP" :)
I also wish to thank you for your participation in the "I Was Seeking Gary group. Ignore me. Must be the time zones! :)
Be well, my friend.
Gary
And what were you doing up at 4 am? Bonus pts? hmm... It might be possible. :)
DeleteI noticed your comments at Elise's, and still am unsure what you're saying. Time zone issues? Who knows? Sleep well. :)
It's been an awesome tour! I ask myself the same question about men :D
ReplyDeleteI'm off to Elise's!
Thanks Samantha. Many people ask that same question?
Deleteawesomeness!! so glad to see some inspiration
ReplyDeleteThank you Tammy!
DeleteAh... all good things must come to an end! I enjoyed this whirlwind ride, Nancy!
ReplyDeletePhew! And now I'm out of steam------
Congrats on a successful blog tour!
I do believe it was successful. Looking forward to see the winners!
DeleteFantastic tour Nancy and I'm sure all the efforts will pay off.
ReplyDeleteI truly hope so Medeia!
DeleteCongrats on a SUCCESSFUL TOUR! I am so glad it was a good experience for you Nancy.
ReplyDeleteJust take a breather... It's natural to have all your insecurities about your books and finances. But as I my topic for the IWSG was "A leap of faith," you have done the same. Without our drive and determination to face our insecurities and fears we would all live very meaningless lives.
Keep focused and positive and you'll get where you wish to go!
It was a great experience Michael! And you are so right. I've got to take a breather and accept where I'm at while believing in the future.
DeleteYou may not see results right away. My first book didn't take off until eleven months after its release. Just believe everything you've invested will pay off somewhere. God knows your heart and he will reward your efforts.
ReplyDeleteI do believe it Alex. Thanks so much. You're terrific.
DeleteGreat to have you on my blog, Nancy. You did a great job getting your book out there.
ReplyDeleteThank you Lee. Those words are encouraging. :)
Deleteyay! I'll hop over to Elise's. Hope you've had a fun blog tour!! And wishing you tons of success and joy! :)
ReplyDeleteI surely did. Thanks PK!
DeleteMy oh my, Ms. Nancy, you've got a lot going on. I feel so out of the loop about your blog tour. I've been limiting my online activity lately so I haven't been a regular visitor to the blogs I follow. Sorry for being a Johnny-come-lately. I'm totally supportive of all you do and I'm impressed by your hard work and dedication to your craft.
ReplyDeleteCONGRATULATIONS and I wish you extreme success for Salted with Fire (still loving that title) and all your other endeavors.
Thanks Demetria. I'm sure you would have been all over it, but life happens. I hope you're getting your rest in. :)
