Now that I’ve given you guys my best self-tested
Atkins recipes, I DON’T know what to do. I have more meal ideas in the storage
banks of my head, but I haven’t cooked them enough to just blurt out in this
challenge without giving them a test or two. I’d also need to get the
ingredients and eat the finished product, but I’m not doing the Atkins diet
now. (I’m trying something else, which is supposed to be detoxification oriented, but
which calls for a lot of non-eating times and hunger moments, which I’m not
pleased about.)
So, I’m taking a little break from posting about
the Atkins to consider what the heck I’m doing, and will get back to you by
Friday with my decision.
In the mean time, here’s a little dillydally I’ve come up with – some sage advice no one should live without:
Don’t
stick your finger in a socket…
if it’s electrical, you could die…
if it’s an eye, you could go blind.
Don’t contradict someone if you’re unsure of the right answer…
if you’re wrong, you
can end up looking like a fool…
if you’re right, you
can get an unwarranted, overly bloated head.
Don’t text and
drive…
if you get caught, you can get a
big, fat ticket…
if you don’t get caught, you could
still kill someone.
Don’t
give up on your dreams, especially if they seem impossible…
if you quit, maybe that one person who would
be blessed by your work will lose out…
if you never start, you’ll never know
how much the effort could have built you up to prepare you for your next dream.
Great advice nancy!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the diet plans, if you ever need some sound advice and are truly ready for a life change ... Let me know, I lost 85 pounds and have kept it off for over two years.
Will contact you Michael.
DeleteSome great don'ts Nancy!
ReplyDeleteYou should just go with the flow for the rest of the challenge.
Be spontaneous!
Thanks Michelle. Just might do that. :)
DeleteGreat Don't's, nice blog, thanks and happy A to Z
ReplyDeleteGood luck coming up with a new theme to carry you the rest of the way through the challenge. I look forward to seeing what you decide on.
ReplyDeleteYes, have to get my brain workin'! :)
DeleteLoved the don'ts :) It will be fun to see what else you come up with.
ReplyDeleteYes, I hope it'll be fun for me too! :s
DeleteVery positive advice despite all the don'ts.

DeleteYou could make us blog readers part of your test kitchen, eh? Of course, you might have to put up with a lot of cranky comments when they don't turn out so well.
ReplyDeleteI especially love the bit of advice that points out how the experience might be preparing us for some other dream we may not even be aware of right now. :)
That would be such a fun, great idea! But I'm going with the flow. :)
DeleteYep, sometimes what seems like failure is a building mechanism.
Don't give up is my favorite one but also one of the hardest.
ReplyDeleteThose are some great don'ts. Personally, I don't do Atkins, but I hope it works out for you.
